House Passes Boehner Debt Ceiling Bill; Senate Tables It

As expected the GOP House leadership managed to whip up the bare minimum to pass their debt ceiling bill. Every House Democrat voted against the bill (presumably because the debt ceiling will have to be voted on at least once before the 2012 elections, a no-win vote for the Dems).

It may seem depressing that only 22 House Republicans voted to stop the insanity of borrowing trillions more and piling on more debt, but on similar past votes Ron Paul has been the lone dissenting vote. Nice to see he now has two dozen or so Republicans who also believe in fiscal responsibility.

Here are the 22 House Republicans who showed true courage and responsibly voted against piling on more red ink to the U.S'. $14 trillion dollar debt:

Launching PenguinProseMedia Blog

Welcome to the latest branch of PenguinProseMedia. I started the PPM YouTube Channel two years ago and am glad to be starting a blog, which will be loosely connected to the PPM Channel.

PenguinProseMedia is about supporting and defending free market capitalism and individual liberty, and this blog will feature links and commentary on the views of current thought-leaders who best articulate those principles, such as Peter Schiff, Thomas Woods, Lew Rockewll, Gary North, Thomas Sowell and Ron Paul.

Mainstream economics, central planning and big government have failed, yet their defenders are as vocal and powerful as ever. Free markets and free people have the theory, arguments and facts on our side. We just need more people fighting back by vociferously and clearly voicing these principles.

This blog is one more voice. Let the battle begin.
